A Real Mom

I've been tagged by Robin!

What makes a real mom?

A real mom...

...knows all the words to Finding Nemo and the theme song to Little Einsteins (and quotes/sings from them at the oddest times).

...(this one is gross, I know, but so true- and speaks to my life at the moment) can catch you-know-what in her hands when her child has a stomach bug, clean it up, and keep on going.

...finds herself initiated in a most wondrous sorority from the moment she gives birth to her firstborn, and is thankful for the support of her motherhood sisters in times of triumph, sadness, and all the mommy-emotions in between.

...sometimes finds herself drenched in mom-guilt as she wonders if she's doing everything in her power to be the best mom she can be.

...aches. She aches because she wants to protect her children from all the hardships of the world, knowing that she can't do that every second of every day. She aches when she thinks of other children in this world who are living in pain or without a mother to love them. She aches because they grow way too fast. She aches because there is so much love that it literally hurts.
