Baby gates and Mutual Adoration

Olivia is starting to pick up some speed with her crawling. Such a great sight. She is even pulling up to her knees by crawling to her walker (that has a low bar to help her work her way up). She gets on all fours, turns herself around in the direction she wants to go, and takes off. Every so often, she'll prop herself on that right hip and look around. Looks like she's posing for a modeling photo shoot.

She loves to crawl into the kitchen. She doesn't go far- I think it must hurt her knees. But, she keeps going back in there anyway. A few feet in, she carefully eases herself to her back and then just slings those arms, happy as can be. When we want to keep her in the living room, we have to PUT UP THE GATE! That's right, we are finally using a gate. Wahoo!!

She will do anything Jacob wants her to do. Last night, he got her to blow kisses, do the "more" sign, say "ball", and of course laugh hysterically (as J shakes his booty). It's so funny. Olivia thinks he is the coolest kid on the planet. And Jacob eats up the attention she gives him. He loves her so much.

It must be so great to see her crawling around everywhere! You're kids remind me a lot of mine.....Haley just admires her older brother and he eats up making her laugh!
