Jacob tries to wear the blue beaded necklace that he got at school into Lowe's.
Brian: Son, boys don't wear necklaces.
Jacob: Yes they do, Dad. It's called "bling, bling".
Brian: And what exactly is "bling, bling"?
Jacob: It's big gold necklaces with a big circle hanging on them.
Seriously. Bling bling? (sigh)

Playing outfielder, Jacob had to run tonight to get some balls hit near him. After making a couple of good throws back to the infield, we watched Jacob throw his baseball glove down. After the inning, Brian went down to the dugout to talk with him.
Brian told Jacob he made good throws, and asked him why he was upset. Almost in tears, Jacob said, "Because they are making me run a lot."
Bless his heart. :)
